Tips
Tips for your stay
Small tips from us, so your night in a tent, cabin or treehouse becomes even better.
Glamping in winter
There is something special about lying warm under a window while it is cold outside. Before you book, check for a wood stove or heating, good insulation and a private bathroom.
Travelling with a dog
Dogs love being outdoors too. Ask the host whether dogs are welcome, whether there is a fence and room to run. Some places charge a cleaning fee.
The best time to go
July is the busiest and most expensive month. May, June and September often bring lower prices, mild air and more calm around you.
Packing for glamping
Bring warm clothes, even in summer. Evenings by the coast can be cool. Ask whether bed linen and towels are included, and you can travel light.
Book early
The most sought-after places are often booked months ahead in the summer holidays. Flexible dates give you more to choose from.
Check distance and parking
Many places lie beautifully remote, and that is the point. Ask about parking and the distance to the nearest shop, so you know what to bring.

How we choose
We show fewer stays, but ones worth travelling for. Here is what we look for.
Special location
By the water, in the forest or in an open field. The place should feel like a journey, not just another holiday home.
Honest photos
We want photos that show the place as it is, so you can feel the atmosphere before you arrive.
Guests’ words
What guests write after a night there weighs heavily when we choose.

Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
What is glamping?
Glamping is camping with comfort. You get a real bed, often your own bathroom and warmth, and at some places a sauna or spa. You get nature without the hassle.
When is the best time for glamping in Denmark?
May to September is the most pleasant. Many places are open all year and warm, so autumn and winter can be cosy too. Look for a wood stove.
Can I bring my dog?
It depends on the place. Use the Dogs welcome filter to see only the stays where dogs are welcome.
How do I book?
You click through to the host’s own page and book directly with them. There you see the price and free dates.
Does it cost anything to use Unikt Ophold?
No. You only pay the host for your stay. We do not charge guests anything.
What does Ad mean?
Ad means a host has paid for extra visibility. Paid placements are always marked.
